They can always count on their parents
We want to try helping our children, Buzz and Longreen, but they won’t accept our support.
Buzz feels like he’s being a burden, Longreen says he’s old enough to take financial responsibility over his wedding plans… I don’t know what to think. I might be biased by the maternal thought that children will always need you somehow, perhaps I’m just hurt by their self-restrictions… but all I want is for them to know that they can always count on their parents, even though we can’t provide the 100% of what they need. But partial help is always available, ALWAYS. Because they are our dear children.
We could ask for a cash advance to try and help them, and then we would return money little by little… but would our kids accept?
I’m glad they want to be independent, but they should also understand that they’re NOT being a burden to the family; just part of it. I hope hubby and I can sort this out as soon as possible… It makes me feel a failure as a mother, somehow… and it makes me worry about my children’s future as well… *sigh*
