Used Textbooks

There’s a website that sells used textbooks that I’ve been looking at for a while now. I also contacted them to ask if they ship to Italy, but for now they don’t, so unless I get one of my friends in the US to buy some for me and send them by post to my address, I can’t buy for now. Well, it’s still one of my favourite textbook websites, one that I’d really love to use for my courses and for my kids’ :)
Anyway, I’ve known families who perceive the act of buying used textbooks as an offense to their children’s pride. Seriously, I think this is crap! There’s nothing wrong with buying second-hand, especially if you have a bit family to care for. New books are too expensive to afford at times, and used ones still allow our kids to study and get excellent grades at school. So yeah, just because a book has creases doesn’t make it less worth! I hope people will second-think about this before they go wasting money on new books and finding less money to buy food for their kids.

Maybe twins?

As I said a few entries ago here on BellaChino, hubby and I are thinking about trying-to-conceive again :) The wonder, though, is if there might be a chance to have twins instead of a single baby. I say this because I come from a family were second and third births were always twin births, and since it usually skips a generation, hubby and I might be conceiving two babies next time. Not that I worry about managing to handle two newborn babies: I’ve been handling 40+ kids during all these years, so yeah, I don’t think that can be a problem, BUT… how can I be sure that carrying two babies won’t put them in danger? :( I’m really afraid of malformations and too premature births, and I’d be really scared if there was even one chance that my babies were to be born with something wrong… What do you think? Is there a way I can ensure nothing will happen in such a case? :(

My dream vacation! :D

Hehe, here you go :P Yeah, it would be so wonderful to go on a super relaxing vacation with my hubby at Villa la Estancia Cabo! Drinking some good champagne while bathing together, enjoying all spa benefits and just recover from all the sleepless nights with our younger kids. It would be marvel to me! The only problem is that we can’t afford all of this for now; we’ll have to wait for hubby’s next paycheck and see how much money dad Optimus is going to gift us with ^^ Yeah, we’re a big family and there are a lot of expenses to face everyday, so it’s unlikely that we can afford a vacation like this very soon. But dreaming doesn’t hurt, right? ;) Villa la Estancia is a resort we really wish to enjoy together, and someday we will. I’m sure of that. All we need to do now is to keep being patient, save up money for it and teaching our kids and mama and papa need their own private time too sometimes ;P Hehe.
